Dr. Naveed Ul Hassan

Associate Professor, Electrical Engineering

Naveed Ul Hassan received his B.E. degree in avionics engineering from the College of Aeronautical Engineering (CAE), Risalpur, Pakistan, in 2002 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering, with specialization in digital and wireless communications, from the Ecole Superieure d’Electricite (Supelec), Gif-sur-Yvette, France, in 2006 and 2010, respectively. In 2011, he joined as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore, Pakistan. Since 2012, he has also been a visiting Assistant Professor at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Singapore during the months of June-August. He has several years of research experience and has authored/co-authored numerous research papers published in refereed international journals and conference proceedings. His major iesearch interests include cross layer design and resource optimization in wireless networks, demand response management and integration of renewable energy sources in in smart grids, indoor localization and heterogeneous networks. He is a senior member of the IEEE.
